Handicap Accessibilty:

A - Indicates considerable accessibility for wheelschairs.
All parking area is surfaced, disabled spaces are marked and they are eight feet wide and some have an adjacent five foot aisle. There are no steps or steep ramps from parking to the main entrance door. The entry door is 32 inches or wider. The building interior floor does not have steps or, if so, has an elevator and aisles or walkways 36 inches or wider. Some of the public restrooms are designed for people with disabilities. Some of the public phones, public drinking fountains, etc. are designed with disabilities in mind.

B - Indicates some difficulty for a wheelchair or other disabilities.
Examples are that parking areas may be sloped and spaces may be unmarked or without aisles. The accessible entry may be with a steep ramp or via the service entrance. The doorway may be less than 32 inches wide. The building interior may have only part of a floor area or only one floor accessible. Restrooms, phones, fountains, etc. may not accommodate all types of disabilities.

C - A greater difficulty is involved and assistance may be necessary.
Possibly the parking area is not surfaced and/or very sloped and parking spaces unmarked. The only usable entry may have a step and/or the walkway may be narrow or graveled. The interior aisles may be narrow or cluttered. Restrooms, etc. may not be accessible at all.

D - Access is very Difficult. Please phone the facility for particulars.
 

Lodging Types:

Hotel - An establishment that provides lodging and various personal services for the public.

Motel - An establishment that provides lodging and parking where rooms are accessible from an outdoor parking area.

Resort - An Establishment tht provides lodging, recreation and entertainment to vacationers. Where majority are waterfront, but not a requirement. If property includes resort in its name, it will fall in this category.

Campground - Area or place used for a camp, camping or for a camp meeting.

Bed & Breakfast - An establishment (as an inn) offering lodging and breakfast, please check with Bed & Breakfast for type of breakfast offered.

Condo Rental - Individual unit in a multiunit structure on land owned in common, rented by a management company offering many sizes, types and locations to choose from.

Private Condo Rental - Individual unit in a multi-unit structure on land owned in common managed/owned by individual offering 1- 5 different units.

Private Home Rental - Usually a house owned by individual/mamagement group for rent for vacationers.

House Boat - A floating lodging unit usually in the form of a boat for rent.

At the current time, not all properties have their amenities listed online. Searching by amenities will only return the matching properties from those that we have in our database at this time. This information can be found in our 2005 Vacation and Service Guide and was up-to-date at the time of printing (11/04).
